St. Johns River State College Campus Improvements

Since 2023, Scorpio has provided construction management services for St. Johns River State College through annual pre-qualification, with campuses in Palatka, St. Augustine, and Orange Park. Our scope of work included the installation of a new water-cooled chiller, cooling tower, and primary chilled water pump, corrected existing parking, thoroughfare, and underground utility deficiencies while also providing for future expansion. Underground utility upgrades and the expansion of potable water supply, fire sprinkler supply, electrical service, gas service, sewer systems, and stormwater management. Additionally, our scope included improvement and expansion of an existing campus access road, the construction of a new parking lot, the construction of new campus walkways, and the addition of new site lighting and signage. Repair and replacement of existing active sanitary sewer piping and structures serving the campus will be required. Included is a utility site plan for the new sanitary sewer system and lift station. We worked closely with the design team to replace the existing system with a new parallel system to minimize outages.
