Clay County New Economic Development Services Building
The Clay County Economic Development Services Building is a 2-story, 30,000 sq. ft. building, consisting of a lobby, conference rooms, storage, and dedicated office spaces housing the public employees of multiple Clay County Departments, including Fire Chief, Planning, Engineering, Code Enforcement, Zoning, and more. This new facility is located on the 1.4-acre site at 633 N. Orange Ave., Green Cove Springs, adjacent to the existing County Administration Building. The goal of the facility is to provide a comfortable and engaging space for employees and visitors, while maintaining a thoughtful and careful eye on the budget. Scorpio partnered alongside Walker Architects to ensure a design that achieves the goals of quality and finish cohesive to the existing Administration Building, while maintaining daily operations for continuous Clay County Economic growth. This building is a defining example of how thoughtful construction management, standardized safety and quality control programs, and community-focused design can transform essential infrastructure into a long-term asset. Clay County Economic Development Corporation’s mission is to create initiatives for sustainable economic growth by creating job opportunities, and we’re proud to partner on this project as it reflects our mission to Build People, Beautify Cities, and Bring Exceptional Buildings to Life, for Life.
