Lake County Schools Lincoln Park Education Center Renovation and Expantion

The Lincoln Park Education Center is a renovation and expansion project that utilized the existing unoccupied Clermont Elementary School campus. This campus was transformed in phases to a much needed alternative High School campus. The first phase redeveloped approximately 30% of the existing 7.5-acre site. A new parking lot with double lane entrances and exits provide access to 56 new parking spaces and included new curbing, crosswalks, signage, and lighting.

Scope included demolition of one (1) existing single-story building, renovation of two (2) existing buildings, and one (1) newly constructed building. The renovated and new buildings provide space for administration, faculty planning, technology centers, food service, outdoor covered dining, STEM Studio, and eight (8) classrooms. Each of these spaces has all new MEP infrastructure, finishes, fixtures, and equipment. Another major component of the project is a new 90-ton air cooled chiller that drives twelve (12) Air Handling Units ranging in size from 6 to 13 tons.
