HCA Florida- North Florida Hospital Emergency Department Expansion & New Ambulance Canopy

The HCA Florida- North Florida Hospital’s Emergency Department underwent an expansion and renovation along with the addition of a new ambulance canopy. During construction, the existing Emergency Room lobby was reconfigured to create new treatment areas. This area now consists of three new specialized evaluation rooms outfitted with lock-down features and roll-up doors, along with four new open triage bays.

A new lobby and waiting area was constructed to create a more patient-friendly atmosphere. Security doors with vestibule was installed to provide additional security for patients, visitors and staff. The new ambulance canopy was constructed adjacent to the ER, adding new patient loading and unloading with immediate access to treatment areas.
