District 8 serves more than 350,000 citizens living in Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy and Union Counties. Twice the size of the current building, the new facility includes new office space, a fully equipped morgue, a large refrigeration system, a state-of-the-art Autopsy Suite with multiple autopsy review units, and upgraded epoxy surfaces in select areas, along with a drive-in vehicle port.
