Scorpio Awarded Large Business of the Year


Scorpio is proud to have been selected as the recipient of the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce Large Business of the Year Award. Scorpio was joined by two additional finalists in this very competitive category, Comfort Temp and Gainesville Health and Fitness. The Large Business category is for local businesses with annual revenue of $2M or more.

“This award belongs to the entire Scorpio Team. It is the talent and commitment of our people that make our accomplishments, and therefore this award, possible. I am so proud of what we have been able to do together this year despite the adversity we have been facing. It just further proves how incredible our team is and how they are willing to come together, meet a challenge, and overcome. I also want to extend my sincere gratitude to the Chamber, the judges, and to this awesome community we are blessed to call home,” said President and CEO Domenic Scorpio.

The Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce hosted the 2020 Business Awards on December 3, 2020, before a limited crowd of guests at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and numerous others via live stream. The event, hosted by Vicki Guy and Jason Hurst, honored winners from 12 different categories for their excellence in the Greater Gainesville Community.
