HCA Florida- North Florida Hospital 2nd Floor Pre-Op Observation Unit

This was an extensive demolition and renovation of over 7000 S/f of existing patient rooms and a nurses’ station to create a 20-bay Pre-Operative unit on the 2nd Floor of the Surgical Tower. This new Pre-Op Unit now helps the medical professionals to better serve patients in newly designed and furnished areas. The large renovation involved new infrastructure, new mechanical, along with all new med gas and new head walls.
Also included in this project was the relocation of three of the main electrical panels. Of note on this project was the highly sensitive component of relocating the main Seimens Equipment that operates all of the air handlers for the entire surgical tower. Originally scheduled to take seven months, Scorpio completed the project two months ahead of schedule. This project was AHCA certified.
