Scorpio Delivers Cascades Luxury Apartments

Believe

“Believe!” became the rallying cry used by Team Scorpio and our partners to push to the project’s deadline, and it worked brilliantly. In July, Team Scorpio celebrated the delivery of Trimark Properties newest luxury apartment complex, Cascades. This stunning five-story multifamily community is located three blocks from the University of Florida campus in the heart of the Innovation District and permanently elevates the options for student housing in Gainesville.

Trimark Properties, a Gainesville real estate developer and property management firm specializing in apartments near UF, has been a long time partner with Scorpio on multiple projects. “They are a team of creative and dedicated professionals who are eager to offer the community a variety of choices, and who maintain the same commitment we do to customer service in the pursuit of excellence,” said Domenic Scorpio, President and CEO of Scorpio.  “Their reputation for quality and design is outstanding. Evidenced by the fact that the entire Cascades complex was sold-out before a single person could step inside. That says a lot.”

Cascades is the second multifamily and ninth overall collaborative project between Scorpio and Trimark Properties. The construction team completed Phase II of Solaria Luxury Apartments in 2015. Scorpio has also completed interior and exterior renovations, as well as, full build-outs on several of Trimark’s commercial buildings.

Top of the Line

Cascades’ design was created by Trimark Properties and Fugleberg Koch Architects. The building features 67 units with floor plans ranging from one-room studios to four-bedroom apartments. Its contemporary exterior consists of corrugated metal panels and white ledger stone, accented with aquatic-inspired design elements. Interiors include crown molding and stainless steel appliances and granite countertops in the kitchens, highlighted with Juliet balconies.

The complex’s most notable luxury amenity is likely its rooftop lounge area, comprised of conversational seating areas, shady pergolas, and a fire bowl. Another balcony area located off the first floor offers a wading fountain and meditation garden. In addition, each of the first two floors provides common areas with private study spaces and meeting rooms.

“Once again, we are grateful to have had the opportunity to partner with Trimark on this magnificent addition to the community. Trimark continues to raise the bar for student housing in Gainesville and we are proud to be a part of that,”says Jennifer Denault, Marketing Director for Scorpio.
