Enhancing Technical Career Education

Located at Santa Fe College’s Blount Center campus in downtown Gainesville, FL., this project consists of new construction on an approximately 17,200 GSF masonry steel building and upgrades to the adjacent parking lot.

The program consists of classroom and vehicle bays applying the latest technology in the automotive repair industry and includes vehicle lifts, dynometer, tire alignment, tool and equipment storage, spare part, and storage spaces necessary to support the career and technical education.

The Center and the programs it will hold will prepare students for entry-level positions in the industry with classroom instruction, hands-on training on the latest model vehicles, and cooperative work experience with local repair facilities while receiving college credit as well as pay.
