NFRMC Bi-Plane Imaging Machine Installation

Renovations were required to prepare for the installation of a new Biplane Imagining Machine. This included new infrastructure (trench duct and wall duct), fire walls, all new mechanical, electrical, fire sprinkler, med gas. The new mechanical equipment required rooftop installation utilizing large cranes and well coordinate site logistics management around a busy hospital.

At the time the Biplane imaging was one of the most advanced interventional medical imaging technologies available. It uses two rotating cameras, one on each side of the patient, to take simultaneous images. When combined on a computer screen, the two sets of images form a 3-D portrait of the area the doctor wants to study.
