Gainesville Airport Hangar Improvements and Rehabilitation

The Gainesville -Alachua County Regional Airport Authority is improving and preserving of up to 9 steel hangar buildings as well as replacing a portable office building with a new 1,500 s.f. unit. This work includes the installation of new membrane roofing over existing corrugated steel roof panels, steel roof panel replacement, or application of elastomeric roof coating or equivalent or, as appropriate to each building. Painting, repair, or replacement of exterior steel wall panels, as appropriate to each building. Installation of insulation and painting of each hangar interior steel in the selected hangars. Also included in the renovations is the replacement of fluorescent lighting fixtures with comparable LED lighting fixtures and door hardware and personnel door hardware, where appropriate, in selected hangars.
This project also calls for the siting /replacement of a 1,500 s.f. office trailer at one hangar location, as well as limited site improvements including the installation of sidewalk, security lighting, and chain-link fencing.
Other miscellaneous related improvements to the entire site include drainage improvements and foundation repair, the repaving of the parking lot, grading and landscaping corrections, and replacement of existing electrical devices and fixtures.
