City of Brooksville Public Works Facility
- Project Owner: City of Brooksville
- Location: Brooksville, FL
- Project Size: 12,500
- Partners: The Lunz Group
This project consisted of site development and new construction of a 12,500 sf pre-engineered metal building for the City of Brooksville. The new facility, which will serve as home to the Public Works and Utility Departments, features offices, a conference and training room, lockers, showers, vehicle, and small engine repair shops, a welding shop, a sign shop, and ample warehouse space.
The site development included new stormwater retention basins, a perimeter fence, site utilities, parking areas for the public, and vehicles to be serviced in one of the three service bays. The new building allows for an additional 2,500 sf bay to be added into the back of the building in a future phase.
The building was dedicated in memory of Alvin Mazourek, who served on the Brooksville City Council from 1976 to 1992, as Brooksville Mayor, and as Hernando County Property Appraiser for 16 years.
