A New Nest for Young Ospreys

The Lake Panasoffkee Elementary School Classroom Building project features the new construction of a 10,400 SF, single-story, seven-classroom building. The building is constructed with CMU walls, a stucco exterior, metal trusses, and a shingle roof. A continuous overhang surrounds the structure, providing shelter around the perimeter.

Inside, the building includes a seven standard classrooms. Each room features cabinets, LVT flooring, marker and tack boards, and painted masonry walls. An obscuring window film ensures student privacy. A central corridor houses staff storage, restrooms, and a janitor’s closet. Four student restrooms, accessed from the exterior under the overhang, are also provided. All classrooms except the medical one include a sink. The building is conditioned with packaged direct expansion heat pump HVAC units and includes full fire protection, alarm, and intercom systems.
