City of Newberry New City Hall
- Project Owner: City of Newberry
- Location: Newberry, FL
- Project Size: 12,700
- Partners: Monarch Design Group
The New City of Newberry’s New City Hall building pays homage to the historic Florida masonry style of the existing City Hall, which was constructed with locally sourced chert stone. The new two-story building faces NW First Avenue, providing direct access to the existing City Hall, with most citizen business occurring in the new building.
The scope includes a larger commission chamber for city meetings, a drive-through teller, additional office spaces for customer service, finance, building and infrastructure, development departments, and city executives. To ensure safety, the building features state-of-the-art security access and control systems, as well as multiple panic buttons and alarm systems in high-risk areas. Additionally, there is an open area between the buildings for festivals and gatherings, complete with an outdoor AV system.
The New City Hall serves the community safely and securely for decades to come. It provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, creating a sense of space and place, while remaining consistent with the historic charm of the existing neighborhood.
