Oak View Middle School Classroom Building
Oak View Middle School in Newberry, Florida received a major facility upgrade with a brand-new classroom building. Designed by Kail Partners Architecture & Interiors, it is a standalone 22,000 square foot one-story classroom building.
This new building delivers 16 new classrooms and a collaborative learning center. The building is comprised of masonry walls, metal truss roof structure, metal roofing, a combination of brick, metal panels and stucco finishes over masonry wall construction and includes a fire protection sprinkler system. Site design also includes stormwater retention.
In addition, Oak View Middle School’s campus-wide chiller plant and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) system will be updated.
The new construction was made possible through the approval of half-cent sales tax for schools, generating $22 million every year that is used for school infrastructure projects.
