HCA Florida – North Florida Hospital New Cath Lab

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is a 523-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center serving North Central Florida. They offer a wide range of services including cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics, women’s care, and wound therapy. North Florida Hospital continuously seeks ways to improve patient outcomes and the overall patient experience and engages Scorpio to perform a variety of services throughout the hospital including renovating and upgrading their suite of Cath Labs. 

Cath Lab 5 included 1500 square feet of renovated space to provide offices and support areas for the cardiology team.  Scorpio relocated restroom facilities to create a new Cath Lab and control room. Of note was the installation of a new highly durable specialty flooring by Osborn Contract Services. Our specialized team oversaw the installation of new cath lab equipment in partnership with Striker and GE during which all new utilities had to be provided on some of the busiest corridors of the hospital.  Heavily scheduled and planned outages coordinated with the hospital made sure there were only minor impacts to the daily operations, never fully shutting down the facility.
