Clearing the Way for Forest Lake

The Forest Lake Parent Bus Loop project was a fast-tracked site redevelopment completed within a five-week schedule to improve safety, accessibility, and daily traffic flow across the school campus. The primary objective was to move parent drop-off and pick-up traffic from a congested public roadway onto school property, creating a smoother and more secure experience for students, families, and staff.

The project scope included the demolition of approximately 28,000 square feet of existing asphalt and 5,500 square feet of concrete, followed by the installation of 14,900 square yards of new asphalt, 2,500 linear feet of curb, and 9,200 square feet of new sidewalk. Additional site improvements included stormwater management upgrades with new drainage systems, clearing and grading, imported fill, and a fully modernized site lighting package featuring 36 new light poles to enhance visibility and safety throughout the campus. Completing this extensive work within the short summer window required strong coordination and teamwork.

The completed parent bus loop now provides safer, more efficient access to campus for families and staff while reducing congestion on surrounding roadways. The project demonstrates how thoughtful planning and teamwork can create lasting improvements that benefit the entire school community.
