Lincoln Park Education Center

The Lincoln Park Education Center is a renovation and expansion project that utilized the existing unoccupied Clermont Elementary School campus.

Team Scorpio Continues to Grow

Since April, Scorpio has added eight new members to the team. We are thrilled to have them on board and look forward to many years and many great accomplishments together. Join us in welcoming them.

In The Field

Jonathon Miles, a recent graduate from the University of North Florida College of Computing, Engineering and Construction, has joined Team Scorpio as Assistant Superintendent. During his time at UNF, Jonathon owned and operated a maintenance company. He worked extensive summer internships with several General Contractors/Construction Management companies in the north Florida area. Johnathon is skilled, ambitious and already contributing to the team on the University of Florida Softball Stadium Renovation and Expansion.

Troy Underhill joined Scorpio as a Superintendent. Troy is a 20-year veteran of the construction industry. His experience is varied, having worked in the residential market, material supply industry, and commercial construction industry. This range of experience makes Troy a well-rounded professional who will contribute immediately in the field.

Rick Solana is Scorpio’s newest Superintendent. Rick is a 12-year construction industry veteran, who served four years in the US Navy. His depth of experience is varied. He is a heavy equipment operator, an experienced ironworker/welder, rod-buster, carpenter, is OSHA 40 certified and has worked from the ground up in this industry. After his service to the Navy, Richard worked in the concrete trades for approximately 6 years, completing major structures such as the Marion County Jail, Lowell Correctional Institution, and the Marion County Courthouse. As a GC Superintendent, he has worked on schools, retail storefronts and was responsible for several fire stations from the ground up. Most recently Rick completed a 5-story Fairfield Inn-Hotel.

Edward Wittman is a new Scorpio Assistant Superintendent. Ed has been a student of the industry for decades. He has been instrumental to our Cascades Project for Trimark Properties. Talented and hard-working, Edward is a great addition to the team.

In The Office

Nathan Rountree, Assistant Project Manager, began his career as an electrician’s apprentice. In 2009 he joined a local electrical firm where he quickly climbed the ranks from Electrician to Superintendent. Nathan then transitioned to Project Manager and Estimator, serving in this role for the last 3 years. Nathan is always looking for a challenge and continues to seek professional growth with the team at Scorpio.

Donna Myers was hired as Scorpio’s Senior Talent Manager. Donna brings with her a wealth of experience. She served as Human Resource Manager for top organizations such as Target Corporation, Dollar General Corporation, Bass Pro Shops Corporation, and Pepsi Cola of Gainesville. She specializes in Employee Engagement, Talent Development, Recruitment, Community Engagement, Training, and Safety Initiatives. Donna believes in leveraging strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and teamwork to achieve our unified business objectives. She is results driven and values integrity and consistency.

Ralph Tayeh joined Scorpio for a summer internship as our BIM Coordinator. Ralph is working on his Ph.D. in the field of Virtual Design and Construction and serves as a BIM Graduate Teaching Assistant at the UF Rinker School of Construction Management. Scorpio is committed to advancing our efforts in this area and we are grateful to have Ralph adding his expertise and passion for technology to the Team.

Bradley Mitchell, Project Engineer, brings hands-on experience managing his own repair and remodeling business. He also delivers experience working as a service technician for multiple property management companies. Bradley is a graduate of Santa Fe College with two Associates degrees. He continues to pursue coursework toward a General Contractor’s License.
