Demolition is complete. This was a tremendous undertaking removing 11 Classroom Buildings, including the outdated Technology Labs and Computer Skills Labs, the kitchen and Cafetorium Building, and all of the restroom facilities for a total of 18 buildings on campus.
Scorpio is very proud to be working with Florida Concrete and Recycling on this portion of the project. We have been able to identify tons of demolition debris for recycling. This keeps it out of our area landfills and ensures it is eventually repurposed into new construction materials. Recycling to this degree is something we aim to accomplish on every job when major demolition is involved.
Foundations are beginning on the two-story classroom building and the new cafetorium. This is an exciting time and we will see a lot of progress quickly.
